A number of postings have been revised as a result of the following eMail I recieved from S3 Interactive.
I wish to clarify publically that I had no intention of slandering S3 Interactive itself and that I was mis-informed that they had purchased JustMac Limited and this would appear not to be the case.
I never intended to accuse them of VAT Fraud, rather just to make clear that their website is misleading when going through the shopping cart stages although I can see how this can be misconstrued.
I still stand by my belief that JustMac as it stands has no right to be using artwork which I was never paid for.
I would like to apologise to the directors of S3 Interactive regarding any confusion that ensued. I would also like to remind anyone reading these pages that the content of postings represents my personal opinion only.
eMail follows;
Dear Mr McKillop
My name is Philip Johnston and I am the owner and Managing Director of S3 Interactive Ltd.
Today I have no option but to write to you to state that our business is currently being slandered repeatedly by yourself via your own website iross.net.
t
To date, so far to name but a few - we have been accused of Copyright theft and Vat fraud by yourself and we take the allegations very seriously.
As you are well aware, Justmac has gone out of business and our sister company Technology Support Solutions Ltd (TSS) bought the web domain and telephone number (goodwill) from the previous owner. We bought these to continue to service and repair Apple products for Justmac customers after they had gone out of business.
Why you choose to drag our companies name through the mud repeatedly is well beyond me and I must advise you that it is damaging our businesses reputation.
S3 Interactive employ 35 staff in the repair and support of consumer electronic devices, to the best of my knowledge we have never had any dealings whatsoever with yourself.
To date we have kept a dignified silence and watched you repeatedly post damaging allegations online. (See attached files)
Your differences of opinion are clearly with the owners of Justmac and S3 Interactive Ltd are not interested in getting involved, can I therefore request that you kindly take these up with the owners and Directors of Justmac Ltd.
On a final note I request that with immediate effect you remove all reference to S3 Interactive from your website and withdraw any potentially damaging allegations, otherwise I will forced to resolve this matter through the courts.
I trust this matter can be resolve amicably and without protracted letter writing and further mud slinging online.
Regards
Philip J Johnston
Managing Director

This article has been amended due to legal reasons
It would appear JustMac has finally relaunched it’s new improved(?) site… Or should I say “S3 Interactive t/a JustMac” … where you can buy the brand new MacBook for the incredible price of £860, an incredible saving from Apple’s (and John Lewis’, and Scotsys’, and GHC… you get the picture) own price of £749…
Or not.
Funnily enough S3interactive is an Authorised Apple Service Provider… but not an authorised reseller, meaning JustMac (since it is now S3 interactive trading as JustMac, rather than JustMac Limited) is not an Apple Authorised Reseller
Also, as is to be expected from the people behind the Vivator Studios debacle (not S3, but some of the staff they inherited from JustMac), they are still using my, as yet unpaid for, copyrighted artwork as their company identity. Indeed the current logo on their website is MY FILE… they haven’t even gone to the trouble of imitating my work… just copying it.
So if you want to pay up to £100 more than everywhere else then go to JustMac… If you want to buy from a nice friendly bunch who are helpful most of the time … go to Scotsys on Great Western Road and if you want a free two year warranty go to John Lewis…
And summer next year, you can even buy from the Apple store on Buchanan Street … wonder what that’ll do to John Lewis’ sales :/

What is it about the M8 that makes people lose the ability to drive?
Particularly if there’s a little bit of rain, fog, or just more traffic than usual (or something interesting on the other carriageway… people just seem to forget what they’re doing.
This was the cause of a 20-30 minute tail back this morning… A mini pile up of 4 vehicles… the worst off of which being that car. No serious damage, obviously didn’t happen at any great speed, but it does successfully delay everyone else… Additionally because everyone slows down to look at accidents, they usually end up causing another one… Aaaaargh
The M8 is a nice, well signposted, well maintained, reasonably smooth road with two lanes and a hard shoulder for most of it … It’s even well lit at the junctions on it… With the possible exception of the rather unusual three exits on the right, it’s a good example of a road… I fail to understand how people manage to not notice bends in it!
Ironically, now that I’ve posted this, I’ll end up going into the back of something whilst observing a pretty looking tree on the other side of the road… Grrrr </rant>

It’s not an Apple Store, but still they get a queue… and not just for the free iPods. We can only wonder what would have happened had JustMac actually held the opening event we planned… this surely proves there’s people in Glasgow interested in all things Appley…
Oh and we did have about 300 names signed up that were interested in coming… and we were only giving away one iPod nano … which never happened either (funny, because by running the compition I think they were legally obliged to let someone win!!)

Scotsys are giving away 10 free iPods to the first 10 people to come to their Grand Opening event tomorrow at 10am… Sadly I amn’t eligible to enter…
Oh and, contrary to a rather silly register article this is unrelated to the Apple Store Glasgow’s getting, and Scotsys are not running that.
