After our earlier attempt to make my CD player work with my iPod … we decided to take the simpler approach and find a either a casette player (the irony, using old technology to work with the newest!) or a cheap car CD player with a Line-In on the front of it.
We found the latter in the Aiwa CDC-R504MP. I hadn’t really considered AIWA for much before but as they’re now owned by Sony it’s basically a Sony CD player at a fraction of the cost.
I must admit I’m impressed - the quality is fairly good (as good as can be expected with manufacturer-fitted speakers!) and certainly seems better than my JVC CD player… can probably be put down to it having a better amp in it. Also it plays MP3 CD’s… so when I forget to charge my iPod I can still have around 200 songs available to me on a single disc.
Either way, it’s great to be able to listen to something other than the same 14 songs constantly ![]()
