Apple recently announced Tiger and, as I’m sure you all know, they made a rather big deal about not releasing it until 6pm on Friday night. They also made it difficult for smaller resellers like the one I work for to GET copies for 6pm… namely that our boxes wouldnt SHIP until 6pm, meaning we couldnt actually sell them until the Saturday. Leaving only Apple Centres (more on that later!) and the UK Apple Stores in London and Birmingham able to sell at 6pm (and in most cases doing a 6pm-midnight launch event).

All these stores had signed an NDA to ensure they didnt sell or show Tiger before 6pm…. well our boxes arrived at around 1030 on the 29th due to some shipping error i would presume and we hadn’t signed an NDA….

Just recently dawned on me.. when talking to people in the shop.. that not quite everyone has a GMail account yet. Like everyone else I have loads of GMail invites at the moment so if you want a GMail account please just eMail me and i’ll send you an invite.

Oh, and if you dont like webmail, then dont worry - neither do I but GMail is VERY different and you should probably give it a go

So, what are these High Definition CCTV cameras than 1080i / 720p? I think even managing DV-PAL quality CCTV cameras would be a start. p.s. this is on the side of a tiny bar/restaurant in the middle of nowhere near Ayr. chances of it having CCTV at all are slim, high def - non existant

Woohoo! Finally! Apple’s site went dark for a few hours a couple of days ago and then came back … with a black homepage … Tiger Unleashed.

Apparantly it’s due to ship on the 29th and the shop is taking pre-orders but based on our suppliers and couriers and all that we should probably expect it in June - anyone who’s wanting to preorder from us … do so … we’ve been assured that we’ll have it!
