Me

I’m Ross - but then again you probably already knew that. I’m 25 and live in Glasgow, Scotland. Nice enough place to live, lived here all my life, but wouldn’t mind nicer weather at times!

I am currently working for a major ITSP and communications provider, and additionally am a director of my own company providing VoIP communication services - I’m also kept busy with things like development of web-based applications and websites, as well as general consultancy on a freelance basis. More information on my Web Design and Web Development can be found at http://www.rsmck.co.uk/

I provide iPhone users in the UK with an MMS picture messaging service at iphonemms.net (formerly known as O2mms.net) allowing MMS messages to be sent and received on the iPhone.

I love working in Techncial Theatre - i.e. Lighting, Sound and Effects and don’t get to work in this area nearly as much as I’d like to. I am currently LD and LX Operator for GYCT and Theatre École in Glasgow. I’m always looking to do more in this line of work (if you happen to own a venue / theatre in Glasgow or Edinburgh - eMail me!)

londoneyeI also enjoy, but amn’t necessarily particularly good at, photography. Some examples are available at http://iross.net/photos - probably best to look in the Scenic and Misc. categories if you’re looking for something that may constitute a good photograph as opposed to just some of my many 1000s of random digital snaps.

My current camera of choice is the Nikon D70 DSLR although I’ve been known to use various others in a pinch… like my iPhone ;)

There’s also a moblog that’s currently unused due to my move to an iPhone - wonderful device as it may be, it’s camera has nothing on my old Sony Ericsson k800i. Will fix this some day no doubt… maybe when the iPhone has a decent camera ;)

If you want to get in touch with me then please feel free to eMail me (just use me @ this domain :P). Alternatively I can be found on AIM, Jabber, Yahoo and MSN’s IM networks (no, I dont have an extremely cluttered desktop … I use the excellent Adium IM Client

My CV is available for download.
